Purchase for STEM club

With the $350 we can buy micro controller kits for each student so they can play with the electronic components. Another play is to only buy a few sets and get them something else like the LEGO mind storm set.

Drone Circuit

Drawbacks/Limitations of the Circuit

some draw backs of the sensor is the great inaccuracy of the distance.

IR sensor with Tent

Image
We will have the IR Sensor detect the drone coming in, and that will move the ring vertically (up and down) to make it more challenging. Also, we might include lights to include in the event the drone gets too close to the ring, the lights will activate and attempt to steer the drone off course.

Evaluation of our Drone Tent

Evaluation of our Drone Tent The physical layout had some flaws. The motors were too weak, and the ring was too heavy. The netting and the frame of the tent were fine The netting held in drone in place so it wouldn't escape. The set up was easy. We were able to hold everything in a nice, confined space. A few things we could have done was have a stronger motor, lighter ring, to improve the assembly switch instead of using strings to tie up the netting.

Course Objectives Shawn The objective of this course is to expand the engineering idea and interest throughout the community and also to fly drones. Charlie The main objective of the course is to create a drone competition course and build our own drones while working with high school students and raising money for their STEM club. Marlon The main objective of Engineering Explorations II is to expand upon our engineering skills and to build/fly drones. Deliverables Possible Tents To Buy This  is a tent we found. We already have a general idea of the type of tent we will be building, so this didn't help a lot, but we saw a lot of tents online. Tent Design Drawing of Tent Design 1':1" scale model (ring will be smaller) Fundraiser Plan Along with the fundraising project, we can have a GoFundMe that makes it very easy for anyone to donate extra money to the fundraiser if they want to. We could also do a bit of online fundraising to see i...
